Dear GYA, I saw Titanic 3-D last night and I can't stop crying. Maybe it was the 3-D glasses, but you know that scene, at the end, when Rose says goodbye to Jack? I guess it reminded me of when Joey Potter broke my heart back in 2003. Oh God, here I go again. Is there anything happening today that'll make me stop crying. -- Dawson Leary---

Dawson, just let it all out, man. It's been too damned long. You gotta forget about Joey Potter, she's with Tom Cruise now. As for today, here are a few things that'll certainly cheer you up:

Check out Club Night at The Garage tonight at 8 p.m. There will be live tunes from Too Slim & The Taildraggers. Plus, City Weekly's The Word will be there snapping photos and handing out free swag!

Or if you're in the mood for some hootin' and hollerin', head over to the Depot at 8 p.m. and check out the Colorado-based bluegrass quartet Yonder Mountain String Band.  Brown Bird will be opening up and tickets are going for $25 at the door.

At 11 a.m., The Leonardo will be showcasing its newest installment Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of The Civil Rights Movement. It's a collection of photographs from 1963-1968 focusing on the African-American freedom struggle in the South. If you can't make it today, it's all good -- the exhibit runs through May.

Other worthwhile events:

- Locals Only Gallery Round 2 at The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art at 8 p.m. tonight.

- Kasino Karaoke at Piper Down tonight at 9 p.m.

- Indie rockers the Cults at Urban Lounge tonight at 9 p.m.
