Have cable and one of those digital converter boxes you've beaten over the head about? And, sadly, no plans on Friday night? Comcast On Demand's "Utah On Demand" section is currently featuring a locally-produced miniseries called Midnyte--as you'll read in True TV next week, it doesn't suck.

The 12-part Midnyte premieres a new six-minute episode every Friday (previous ones are also there); in chunks, the miniseries (about a disoriented group of women navigating a creepy, desolate city--also known as downtown Salt Lake any given weekend) works pretty well on the suspense level. And not just because the bar for locally-made TV content is so desperately low--partially, but not completely. It's also available on YouTube, iTunes and Midnyte.tv.
