It's no secret that we're pretty fond of Portland's Laura Gibson. The soft-spoken folk artist infuses a great deal of strength into her hushed melodies, a quality that's often overlooked thanks to her performances in loud, noisy bars. Current fans and the curious music lover will have several opportunities to listen and actually hear Gibson when she rolls into town today, starting with a live in-studio performance on KRCL around 3:30 p.m. Then she and hometown peers Blind Pilot will head over to Slowtrain (221 E. Broadway) for live, in-store, free, all-ages performance followed by their headlining gig at Urban Lounge (241 S. 500 East).
