Colbert vs. Steele: Rap Battle

And here I though Michael Steele was the bassist for the Bangles: Last night on The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert threw down with Republican National Committee chairman Steele in a rap battle for the ages--or at least Hump Day. Feel the pain:

The Waddoupslature

You just knew that the Legislature was going to find a way to screw up the law getting rid of private clubs and those stupid Zion curtains in restaurants. In order to get this law passed they, the "Waddoupslature," demanded that any restaurant built after May 12th keep all liquor bottles and drink mixing out of sight.

Never Mind the Bullocks

Try to pin down the pleasure of BBC America’s Life on Mars sequel, Ashes to Ashes, and it’s Philip Glenister’s bruisingly funny lead, Detective Chief Inspector Gene Hunt that comes to mind. In the UK Glenister’s character became a national icon thanks to Life on Mars, which followed the adventures of a 21st century cop transported back to the 1970s.

Utah citizens “can now feel confident that they can share information anonymously without fear of repercussion,” said Allison Barlow-Hess, president of the Utah Headliners, the Beehive State’s SPJ chapter.

Mike Watt Is On Tour ...

Lupe Fiasco, Girl Talk To Rock The U

The Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU) are pretty awful about getting the word about events to off-campus media outlets but boy are they good at organizing a killer concert. ASSU members managed to get both Lupe Fiasco and Girl Talk to perform as part of the school's annual spring music festival, aka the Kerfuffle.
