If you're a typical Park City film festival attendee, you probably haven't spent much time watching the short films. But now you have a chance for shorts, and with a shorter drive.

This Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Rose Wagner Center, Sundance programmers Trevor Groth and Todd Luoto will host two short-film programs bracketing a Q&A panel. And it's a pretty impressive lineup by any standard. Among the entries are: Short Term 12, Destin Daniel Cretton's winner of the 2009 Sundance Jury Prize in Short Filmmaking; a new work by Jared Hess, whose own breakthrough feature Napoleon Dynamite started as a short; The Youth in Us (pictured), from Blair Witch Project and Humpday actor Joshua Leonard; and Jenni Olson's 575 Castro St., a unique sort of "on-set" document of the shooting of Gus Van Sant's Milk at the original site of Harvey Milk's Castro Camera Store. Check here for the full program, including times. Or just take the short time to see some big talent.
