Get Close, So Close To Me

It was only a matter of time before artists began sampling the Cure's seminal single "Close to Me" - the song shares the same minimalist beauty of Lykke Li or Peter Bjorn and John, plus it's still damn catchy. So it's not surprising that Lady Sovereign's (aka the biggest midget in the game, aka S.O.Veeee!) new dance single "So Human" samples (a generous use of the word; more like covers) her fellow Brits.
After hearing it, however, the song actually sounds like it rips off Plastic Little's lesser-heard (and incredibly dirty) "Get Close" rather than being a flattering homage to those pasty legends. I know they're both party tracks and that there's little room for dissection while we should be dancing, but still ...
I think my main problem is that Plastic Little is coming from a hot, super-creative Philly scene that's spawning artists like Spank Rock and Amanda Banks, and Lady Sov seems to be co-opting their tricks into her own thing. She's a talented and unique artist on her own without borrowing from anybody.
Of course, I could be over-analyzing it. What's your take?
