I'm not going to say that LA's Billy Boy on Poison (the name is a Clockwork Orange reference--Wiki it, kiddies) are the only legit new rock & rollers on X96's Big Ass Show ticket at Usana Ampitheater today, the only young band with the attitude and chops to match vets The Offspring, Unwritten Law and Alkaline Trio. I'm also not going to say that the nine other tracks on BBOP's debut CD Drama Junkie Queen (on Kiefer Sutherland's Ironworks Records label) match the hooky party punch of lead-off single "On My Way." I will, however, say this: Get there by 4:25 this afternoon to catch these kids live, because who knows when they'll be back, and any band that can actually make the otherwise insufferable Late Night With Jimmy Fallon watchable is definitely something special:
