One of my pet peeves with the foodie universe is that every blog and Twitter post I see, someone is eating something precious. "Enjoying Kurubota pork belly with Corton Charlemagne...", "Sipping single-vineyard Pinot with sea urchin for that special umami blast!", etc. You get the idea.
Doesn't ANYONE ever just make a grilled cheese sandwich (without imported French Gruyere) or feast on an Arby's roast beef or cook up Hamburger Helper now and then?
For the record, I had Albertson's fried chicken for dinner last night. It was delicious. And no, I did not drink Salon Champagne with it.
