Welcome to the wine zoo!

I have to admit, I've sipped wine in a lot of interesting locales and situations. But in a zoo? Never. --- Well, that's about to change, thanks to Hogle Zoo's Wild About Wine events, where wine tastings take place in the wildest setting in town. 

For the next two Wednesdays, August 12 and August 19, Hogle Zoo will host Wild About Wine, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Hogle Zoo has paired with local wine brokers to bring an interesting array of wines to the zoo, to be sampled and sipped as you enjoy hanging out with the zoo's wilder citizens.

The theme for August 12 is "Economic Stimulus Package." Attendees will taste 15 wines priced at under $15 per bottle with ratings of 88 or above. The tasting will be held in the Oasis Plaza. Appetizers and snacks will be served and the cost is $25 per person.

On August 19, Hogle Zoo will host "Asian Highlands Five-Course Dinner and Wine Pairing," in the zoo's Asian Highlands, where the big cats roam. The cost for the dinner and wine pairings is $50 per person.
