When you see something so amazing, naturally some people become skeptical. ---

Jamaican sprinter and Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has more than just the coolest name on the planet. He’s also the fastest man on the planet. So fast, that some question how he is getting it done.

I am just flabbergasted at his speed, and the grace he possesses as a runner. Yesterday he broke the world record in the 200 meter, days after shattering the 100 meter race at the World Championships in Berlin. He ran the 200 in 19.2 seconds.

Let’s put that into terms Americans can identify with.

That’s two full football fields in 19 seconds from a stand still. The fastest runners in football run a 40 yard dash in around 4.4 seconds. Bolt would do it in around 3.8 seconds. And finally, if Usain Bolt started at home plate and ran to the pitchers mound, which is 60 ft… he would be running 26 MPH when he hit the mound. Truly unbelievable.
