Serena Shows True Colors

Serena Williams is famous, among other things for her colorful outfits. ---

However, Serena’s U.S. Open title defense ended in bizarre, ugly fashion Saturday night when she verbally attacked a line judge who called a foot fault on Williams. This was her second outburst of the match. After losing the first set, she destroyed her racket.

Well first, what’s a foot fault? When a player is serving, if either foot touches the court, including the baseline, after the feet are at rest but before the payer strikes the ball, is a foot fault. As the video clearly shows, she committed a foot fault.

“I swear to God I’m going to take this fucking ball and shove it down your fucking throat. Do you hear me? I swear to God. You better be glad--you better be fucking glad that I'm not."

Nice Serena, real nice. Afterwards, at the press conference, mostly she talked about how hard it was for her. And by the way, she was getting her ass kicked, this point didn’t cost her the match. After this press conference, she “apologized” sort of, by saying that “she acted poorly.” Wow. Here’s how you apologize… “I’m sorry for my classless act of poor sportsmanship, and I am sorry for threatening you.” No such apology ever happened.

Today, after being fined the USTA maximum of $10,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct and $500 for racket abuse, she apologized again, still not mentioning the threat to the line judge. Conveniently, about an hour before she was to go back on court for her doubles match with sister Venus.

Grow up you little baby. Apologizing on the 4th try is not an apology, it’s a publicity move. Serena is a rich, spoiled little brat, and she should be suspended from the next USTA tournament, not to mention suspended for her match today.
