Thanks to I-15 on-ramp construction in Layton, there are currently many detours getting to and from Main Street. A lucky one resulted, for me, in a major discovery of a great new seafood market in Layton. --- Jim Pilarczyk worked at Gastronomy Inc. in their fish markets and restaurants for 19 years, so he knows a thing or two about seafood. Davis County fish lovers should consider themselves lucky that Jim decided on Layton as the location for his new Coast 2 Coast Seafood Market, tucked away in a hidden commercial strip mall at 45 East Gentile Street. Blink and you'll miss it.

At Coast 2 Coast, you'll find fish and seafood items like #1 and #2 grade ahi tuna, large head-on prawns, hard-to-find fish such as ono, opah, sturgeon, wahoo and petrale sole, along with prepared foods like crab cakes, chowder, steamed shrimp and sauces. Jim has solid connections to fishermen in Hawaii, which means that you'll consistently find super-fresh Hawaiian seafood at Coast 2 Coast.

Bonus: If you're in the market for something in particular (monkfish, in my case) that isn't in stock, Jim will take your number and order it special for you when it's available. Call 801-721-1537 for more information.
