The Yankees should beat the Phillies by 102 million? ---
Yankees payroll… $216 million Phillies payroll… $102 million
The Phillies and the Yankees are the #1 & #2 offenses in baseball according to MLB power rankings, but the Yankees have certainly bought the better players. It might come down to pitching though, so I am going with the Phillies… oh, and also because American League baseball is for pussies.
Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins predicted the Phillies would win the series in 5 games, on a TV program called “The Jay Leno Show” ??? but since no one actually saw it, I guess it remains a rumor.
The forecast for game 1?… Chilly, overcast and a high probability of drama. 6pm on Fox.
