Ogden native Judith Freeman has an interesting article in the February 2010 issue of
Food and Wine Magazine on how Utah - and Park City in particular - has transformed into one of ski country's new places to party. It's refreshing to read a piece applauding the great restaurants, bars and brewing companies our state has to offer in wake of recent updates to our liquor laws (although it's somewhat of a bummer to be reminded of the pivotal role Jon Huntsman, Jr. played in our release from "prohibition." Sigh. I miss that guy). Some of the places mentioned include High West Distillery & Saloon, Bar Boheme and Wasatch Brew Pub. The article isn't online yet, so if you're curious look for it on newsstands. And be sure to frequent the places that are putting us on the map - in a positive light for a change.
