Cool Sounds, Hot Eats

Local restaurants have increasingly been teaming up with local musicians to enhance the dining experience - David Williams can often be found serenading customers at Eva and Tin Angel, Vertical Diner invites bands to literally sing for their supper on the patio, and Caffe Niche frequently showcases Red Rock Rondo and John Henry. Tonight, Joshua Payne Orchestra kicks off their weekly dinner residency beginning at 7 p.m.--- The Salt Lake City collective played several renegade midnight street shows over the summer, treating night owls to unique, avant-garde sounds. Caffe Niche guests can expect something along the lines of "a big band from outer space" with hip-hop/rock beats and off-kilter melodies. It will be out-there, but mellow enough to complement a fine culinary experience.

A scaled down Joshua Payne Orchestra of three also performs weekly at the Grand America Lobby Lounge. Saddle up to the bar and pretend you're an independently wealthy contractor from Paris for an evening.
