Jamison Olave don't go!

Real Salt Lake faces a lot this season, most notably proving that winning the MLS cup wasn't a fluke. Its plan to reach that goal, apparently, is by not changing the team from last year. Which for defender Jamison Olave, according to a news story last weekend by Spanish sports reporter Carlos Artiles in the local Hispanic press, meant his team turning down an offer he wanted to pursue.---

According to Artiles, key Latino players Olave along with Javier Morales signed contracts to stay with Real until 2013. Subsequently Argentine team River Plate made an offer to Real for Olave. The Columbian, who's key to Real's defense, found out about River's interest in him from his manager. "I wanted to go," Olave said. Much like former Real star, Yura Movsisyan, who transferred to a Danish team after last year's trimphant MLS final win, Olave nurtures ambitions to play in Europe. Real, however, turned down the offer.

Which begs the question, will Olave, so fundamental a rock in Real's back row, have quite the same commitment he showed last year, after such a disappointment?
