By omission from the Fall 2010 schedules, here they are:
ABC: Better Off Ted, Eastwick, The Forgotten, FlashForward, Hank, Lost, Romantically Challenged (right) and Ugly Betty. Most of these were a given, but Alyssa Milano’s Romantically Challenged has aired, like, three-and-a-half times. Has ABC no faith in a sitcom that worked 10 years ago when it was called Friends?
CBS: Accidentally on Purpose, Cold Case, Gary Unmarried, Ghost Whisperer, Miami Medical, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Numb3rs. Bloodbath at the Eyeball Net—seriously, Ghost Whisperer? It’s the only show that gets any ratings on Friday night! If you count cats. Gary Unmarried, I’ll miss you most of all … well, not Gary (Jay Mohr), but Paula Marshall. Somebody get her back to Californication, now!
NBC: Heroes, The Jay Leno Show, Law & Order, Mercy and Trauma. Mixed bag here. Heroes should have been put down years ago, but 20-year vet Law & Order? Replacing it with a Los Angeles edition (again, I’d swear that was Dragnet) isn’t quite the same.
Fox: Brothers, Dollhouse, Past Life, Sons of Tucson and ‘Til Death. Apparently, Fox has about 300 episodes of ‘Til Death left in the can—as evidenced every Sunday at 6.
The CW: The Beautiful Life and Melrose Place. No word on High Society and Fly Girls … but really, who gives a shit?
Syndicated: Legend of the Seeker. Torn here. On one hand, Legend of the Seeker was pure D&D cheese, a poorly-executed rehash of ‘90s heavyweights Hercules and Xena that, while from the same producers, made about as much sense as a taco cart at a Renaissance fair. On the other hand, ridiculously hot actresses who’ll probably never work again. Sigh. Season/series finale is this weekend …
