What’s new tonight:
Caprica (SyFy) Return: SyFy had originally scheduled the second half Caprica’s first season to resume in January 2011, nearly 10 months later. Ten. Months. Not that you haven’t already forgotten what’s going on: Set 58 years before the gloomy-Gus Battlestar Galactica, Caprica is a world drunk on wealth, technology and fedoras. Tech mogul Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) has developed the hardware for Cylons (the “toasters” that will eventually rise up against mankind), but his teen daughter Zoe (Alessandra Torresani) figured out how instill consciousness—before she was killed in a monotheist terrorist attack, and now exists only as a digital avatar. As Season 1.5 opens, Graystone fights to get his company back by (almost) any means necessary, but the cliffhanging fates of wife Amanda (Paula Malcomson) and Zoe aren’t revealed until the final moments. They’re intriguing—though not 10 months intriguing.
The Biggest Loser (NBC) Tennis babe Anna Kournikova drops by to workout with the fatties, assuring that I might actually tune in for five minutes. But no longer.
Running Wilde (Fox) Gob, er, Steve (Will Arnett) tells Emmy (Keri Russell) that he’ll quit his new job at the oil company. Because if there’s anything Fox doesn’t need, it’s more drama at an oil company (have to use the Lone Star references up before they expire next week).
The Bad Girls Club (Oxygen) More screaming, more fighting, more drinking—what else could you ask for? How about an appearance from last season’s Natalie? Well, you’re getting her, anyway.
Also new tonight:
No Ordinary Family, Dancing With the Stars, Detroit 187 (ABC); NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Good Wife (CBS); Parenthood (NBC); Glee, Raising Hope (Fox); One Tree Hill, Life Unexpected (The CW); Sons of Anarchy (FX)
Preview: Looks like the new "ladies" aren’t fitting in with The Bad Girls Club. Who could have seen that coming?
