Ain't it strange how the weather changed right as we hit the month of the creepy and the kooky? Thursday night has a lot to offer for all you devils and saints out there.---

I was sort of surprised to hear that The Devil Makes Three show at The State Room has sold out. That's great news for the club, not so great for folks planning on getting tickets at the door. Still, where there's a will, there's a way, so if you read our profile of The Devil Makes Three and you're dying to go, hit the club and roll the dice with a scalper.

Thankfully, there are other musical options. The Urban Lounge has a night packed with great tunes, courtesy of Nicole Atkins, Lindsay Heath and La Farsa. And Kilby Court has a great show of power-pop tunes, with Jukebox The Ghost, Hooray for Earth and A B & The Sea.

On the non-music side, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts has a free lecture today at 1:30 p.m. called Natacha Rambova: A Career in Design, in which historian Heather Vaughan will discuss the Utah native who dabbled in ballet, art direction, fashion and studying Egyptology.

And up at the Ogden Nature Center, you can check out a 7 p.m. presentation on "Nature's Bloodsuckers," to learn all about the plants, insects and critters that draw blood for their sustenance. What kid wouldn't want to learn about life's real vampires, right?
