What’s new tonight:
Election Coverage (Various Channels) Here’s what’s not being bumped tonight: Dancing With the Stars and The Biggest Loser—you know, the important shows. Everything else on the broadcast networks, reruns or nothing. For real political junkies, flipping between Fox News (party!), MSNBC (suicide watch!) and CNN (just glad to still be here!) is preferable to regular network fare; on Comedy Central, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report continue their Indecision 2010 “feud” with Jon Stewart’s “Maybe We Can’t” and Stephen Colbert’s “Revenge of the Fallen,” respectively. Courage.
Running Russell Simmons (Oxygen) Series Debut: Running Russell Simmons is yet another series about how tough it is to be rich and famous, even with a gaggle of personal assistants. But, what kind of “hip-hop mogul” does his reality show on Oxygen? So he’s also a fashion designer—at least his wife Kimora did her reality show for Style. Whack.
Kathy Griffin: Whores on Crutches (Bravo) Stand-Up Special: In my TiVo guide, this is listed as Kathy Griffin … on Crutches. I want my “Whores,” damn it! Kathy’s latest targets are Bristol Palin, Elizabeth Hasselback and the Emmys (again).
Also new tonight:
Dancing With the Stars (ABC); The Biggest Loser (NBC); One Tree Hill, Life Unexpected (The CW); Stargate Universe (SyFy); The Bad Girls Club (Oxygen); Sons of Anarchy (FX); Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time (Comedy Central); In Treatment (HBO)
Preview: Well, not exactly—here’s the five-minute version of what could (and maybe should) be the new Conan show debuting on TBS next Monday, as posted on TeamCoco.com last night.
