George W. Bush is on the talk-show circuit promoting his new coloring book; about the only place you won’t see him turning up is on Comedy Central—Jon Stewart has even offered him a McRib to appear on The Daily Show. Mission not accomplished. ---

What’s new tonight:
The CMA Awards (ABC) You won’t be seeing Modern Family, Cougar Town, The Middle or that other sitcom tonight because of the 44th annual Country Music Awards, hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. The special will also feature performances by Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, George Strait and Rascal Flatts … Kid Rock? Guess not all of the comedy has been canceled tonight.

Criminal Minds (CBS) The BAU team must track down a man who kidnapped and murdered a woman in Georgetown before he can strike again. Sounds like every other week, right? This one caught my attention because the promo for this classic-Hollywood-flavored episode actually used the cheesetastic tagline “Lights … Camera … Murder!” Come on! That’s the kind of shit Andy Richter’s been using to intro Conan all week!

Hellcats (The CW) Last week, Savannah (Ashley Tisdale) was going to give up her virginity to Dan (Matt Barr), until she found out that his first time was with mutual BFF Marti (Alison Michalka). Dra-ma! I think we all know the solution here, and it rhymes with Me-way.

Psych (USA) Season Premiere: Despereaux (Cary Elwes) is back—and where else but Psych are you going to find a villain named “Despereaux”? Exactly.

Also new tonight:
Survivor: Nicaragua, The Defenders (CBS); Undercovers, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Los Angeles (NBC); America’s Next Top Model (The CW); South Park, Ugly Americans (Comedy Central); Top Chef: Just Desserts (Bravo); Steven Segal: Lawman (A&E); Terriers (FX)

Preview: Hey, Andy Richter! Watch for “Lights … Camera … Murder!” in this Criminal Minds promo and see how it's done.
