And so begins a pretty sleepy week leading up to Christmas—perfect for recovering from a hard weekend.---
Downtown was pretty much a clusterfuck all weekend, thanks to the convergence of a couple of David Archuleta concerts with the Mo Tab Choir at Temple Square, a bigger-than-ever Santa Pub Crawl on Friday night and all the usual holiday shenanigans: Xmas lights, skating at Gallivan Center, etc.
Tonight a couple of musical options for ya. If you're classically inclined, join the Salty Cricket Composers Collective for their last show of 2010, Green Cello, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Wagner. Over at Mo's Neighborhood Grill around 9 p.m., it's the second Salt Lake Sound-off, in which local singer/songwriters compete for the audience's love in short, one-song battles.
And if you're still in shopping mode, or know a family that could use an extra boost this season, check out the Community Food Co-op Market Sale, which includes all sorts of goodies, as well as the chance to buy gift certificates for others to use at the co-op any time they need to. True spirit-of-the-season stuff there.
