What’s new this weekend:
Fringe (Fox, tonight) The bad news: Looks like Peter (Joshua Jackson) knocked up the other Olivia (aka Fauxlivia) before she went back to the alternate universe—and just as he and original Olivia (Anna Torv) were getting back on track. The worse news: After opening well on Fridays, Fringe’s ratings are plummeting so fast that this new plot twist may not even matter soon. Watch Fringe harder and live; Tivo Supernatural—The CW isn’t going to cancel that, like, ever.
Also new tonight:
Supernanny (ABC); The Defenders, CSI:NY, Blue Bloods (CBS); Who Do You Think You Are? (NBC); Kitchen Nightmares (Fox); Smallville, Supernatural (The CW); The Onion News Network, Portlandia (IFC); Ghost Adventures, Merlin (Syfy); Real Time With Bill Maher, The Ricky Gervais Show, Funny or Die Presents (HBO); Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (Starz); The Soup (E!)
Being Human (BBC America, Saturday) The original (and best) is back! Too bad Annie the Ghost isn’t … yet. Read all about it in True TV (Item 3).
The Amazing Race (CBS, Sunday) Season Premiere: Finally, in HD—just in time for “Loser All-Stars,” er, “Unfinished Business,” featuring returning teams (like the annoying cowboys and the annoying-er Goths, etc.) from previous seasons. So, really, the most exciting news is the HD thing.
Episodes (Showtime, Sunday) Season Finale: Will Matt LeBlanc’s (Matt LeBlanc) sitcom get picked up? Will Matt LeBlanc’s (Matt LeBlanc) Episodes return for another season? Read all about it in True TV (Item 4).
Also new Sunday:
Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters (ABC); Undercover Boss, CSI:Miami (CBS); American Dad, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show (Fox); The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Bravo); Kourtney & Kim Take New York, Holly’s World (E!); Californication, Shameless (Showtime); Big Love (HBO)
Preview: What's happened so far on Episodes, a great comedy about a terrible comedy ...
