Looking at the activities around Utah Tuesday, there are an inordinate number of events meant to provoke discussion and new ways of thinking. And that's a good thing.---

As part of the Women's Voices Festival, Dr. Disa Gambera, a visiting English prof at the U, will host a free lecture at the Main Libary at 7 p.m. about women's voices in literature. Dr. Gambera's areas of expertise include British and Medieval Literature, Children's Literature and Women Writers. At the same time and the same place (just a different room), the Main Library welcomes a free discussion with Dr. Jennifer Siebel Newsom as part of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. And over at the Art Access Gallery, in conjunction with the Women's Voices Festival, check out the show Big Eyed women and Sarinda Jones.

In Ogden and Layton, Weber State University is hosting a storytelling festival that three nationally renowned storytellers, 26 locals and 70 students aspiring to work in the craft.

Finally, on the tunes front, pop-punks Hellogoodbye (pictured) headlines a gig at The Complex.
