While some of you cram to get your taxes done, the rest of us will be checking out some of the good times to be had on the ol' town tonight.---

Let's start with Bill Bellamy, the MTV veteran and standup comic who is appearing at Wiseguys in Ogden. Despite a spotty acting career—How to  Be a Player, FastLane—his standup specials have always been better than his dramatic chops. He performs at 7:30 p.m., if you happen to be in O-town.

The King's English welcomes local author Brandon Mull, who is launching a new fantasy series called Beyonders. The Fablehaven creator is a New York Times best-selling author, and his new series will surely be a phenomenon.

On the music side, Katie Thompson has a CD release party at Velour in Provo tonight. Groovy Swedish jazzy rappers (yes, you read that correctly) Movits! headlines at Kilby Court, Ninjasonik headlines at The Complex, super-cool roots-dudes Phosphorescent headlines at The Urban Lounge and punk guys Rise Against play at the Great Saltair.

And Provo's Pablo Blaqk, pictured, a talented young singer/songwriter, is throwing a multi-faceted bash of a CD release show at Brewvies. Read our story about Blaqk here, then hit the show, if there are any tickets left. Word is there will be about 20 at the door.
