It's time to dust off that movie idea that's been collecting dust in a drawer, or collecting cobwebs in your head. Help is here for Utah's aspiring screenwriters. ---

The Salt Lake Film Society is preparing for its fourth annual Utah Screenwriters Project, a comprehensive program designed to help writers on everything from the work itself to getting out to agents. Professionals like writer/director Keith Gordon (The Singing Detective) are scheduled to offer coaching and answer questions; at the end of the program, one lucky participant will receive a $500 grant plus screenwriting software and one year of free movies at the Salt Lake Film Society's theaters (Tower and Broadway Centre).

Application is available electronically from Rachel_Getts@saltlakefilmsociety.org, or by phone at 801-746-0028. Deadline is Friday, May 6, and there's a $15 application fee.
