A bevy of options for your weekend. Let's do this.  ---

Friday

Friday features the distinctly Euro-tunes of Junip, pictured, headlining at The State Room. Singer Jose Gonzalez is a true gem. Down the street at Bar Deluxe, Fake Problems headline a fat bill of poppy punk bands.

Wiseguys in West Valley City features Garfunkel & Oates, a comedy duo featuring the gal who played Ted's gal on Scrubs, so I'm totally on board. They're doing two shows Friday night.

If you're totally jonesing for Halloween, the Castle of Chaos is hosting its Spring Scream Weekends starting Friday night.

At Pioneer Memorial Theater at the U, Sunset Boulevard opens its spring run Friday night.

Saturday

The 2011 Spring Fashion Affair is Saturday at Elevate, and you can find the City Weekly Street Team on hand to get the party started. Fashionable, of course. And across town at the Million Air Hanger, the Couture in Motion show adds another dose of style to Saturday night.

Earth Jam features free tunes, kids activities and enviro-info booths at Liberty Park all day Saturday and Sunday at Liberty Park.

The State Room hosts the Jeff Bates Melanoma Fundraiser on Saturday, and everyone you know in the outdoor industry will be there, partying for a great cause to the sounds of Afro Omega, among others.

Sunday

Christina Perri does her tormented piano player/singer thing at the Avalon Theater Sunday night. The always awesome Jonathan Richman headlines at Kilby Court.

The City Weekly Street Team will be at the Craft Sabbath Mother's Day boutique Sunday, a perfect spot to get your mama some treats for the fast-approaching holiday.
