What’s new tonight:
The Good Wife (CBS) Alicia (Julianna Margulies) wants a sitdown/smackdown with Kalinda (Archie Punjabi) over sleeping with her man-‘ho husband (Chris Noth) but, purely coincidentally, they first have to handle the case of a murder related to an adultery website—run by guest star Sarah Silverman! They’ll have plenty of time to hash things out once the show is canceled.
Hellcats (The CW) Speaking of looming cancellation: The odds aren’t good for my beloved Hellcats; the plucky cheerleader dramedy is currently less likely than One Tree Hill (which has been on since The WB days—kill it already) and Nikita to return in the fall. Despite the increasingly cross-eyed “dramatic” storylines that have eaten into the killer dance routines and humor that set the show apart, I still say Hellcats is better than Glee. To wit:
Glee (Fox) It’s prom night at McKinley High, and Sue (Jane Lynch) objects to having New Directions perform. As well she should—is there any school function where those annoying fuckers don’t murder the hits? PA, iPod, done.
Worst Prom Ever (MTV) Film Premiere: Must be the theme tonight. Surprisingly, Worst Prom Ever isn’t another MTV reality quickie featuring whining teens and shaky cameras—it’s an actual scripted movie. Which isn’t to say that it won’t be terrible (it most certainly will), but at least some actors got to work.
Also new tonight:
Dancing With the Stars, Body of Proof (ABC); NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS); The Biggest Loser, The Voice (NBC); Raising Hope, Traffic Light (Fox); One Tree Hill (The CW); Pregnant In Heels (Bravo); 16 & Pregnant (MTV); Sports Show With Norm MacDonald (Comedy Central); The Deadliest Catch (Discovery); Conan (TBS)
Preview: What the hell’s going on with Hellcats anymore?
