If you are penny-pinchin' because the economy is down, or just plain frugal, look no further. Each week, Events for Cents will inform the masses about the fun, the free, the charming and the cheap.---

Books & Authors
Justin Cronin: The Passage
Entertainment Weekly described the post-apocalyptic vampire thriller The Passage as "magnificently unnerving ... a The Stand-meets-The Road journey." That's a compliment indeed. Check it our for yourself at tonight, but first read what A&E Editor Scott Renshaw had to say about it here.

Lectures & Panels
Jung Society of Utah: Joseph Campbell & The Relevance of Myth in Our Lives
Dennis Patrick Slattery will address several of Joseph Campbell's wide-ranging descriptions of mythology to reveal how myths represent psychological patterns in symbolic and metaphorical language. Mythology is the natural language of the psyche and is alive in each of us. Slattery will help attendees understand this language in their own life, which can lead to a more satisfying and conscious way of living.

Slattery gave a lecture for the Jung Society in February 2010 about love. Read our 5 Spot interview with him here.
