Monday proves to be a slow, yet interesting start to a week full of excellent concerts.---

The folk rock duo of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers are a powerhouse in the world of Americana and seeing them, the Indigo Girls, live is a lovely treat. Over the past two decades, they have hit it big on the American Top 40 charts with “Shame on You” and “Peace Tonight” and are currently working on their 12th studio album, to be released later this year. To get a glimpse of their infectious live show, dig on Staring Down the Brilliant Dream, a live double disc released one year ago.

The Chase Home Museum concert series is back this year—it was uncertain earlier this year if funding would allow it—and this Monday the Latin/World Beat sounds of Los Hermanos de los Andes will take the stage in front of the museum at 7 p.m.

Over its 28-year career, Mama’s Temple Choir has backed up contemporary pop artists like Celine Dion and Michael Bolton. But the 60-plus member gospel group can get its groove on on its own right. Head over to the Utah Cultural Celebration Center at 7 p.m. for this free show.
