A smattering of colorful genres will paint the city’s musical landscape tonight.---

Touring in support of their soon-to-be-released album Sympathy, Scattered Trees hits Kilby Court. The album is a sincere and mesmerizing effort by the Chicago-based sextet. Sam Burton and The Wayne Hoskins Band will open.

The Music at Main free concert series continues tonight with the dance-y, DJ sounds and sonic experiment of Futr Kids, Nolens Volens and It Foot, It Ears. The show begins at 7 p.m.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is still chugging along, despite losing guitarists Duke Kitchens and Matt Carter earlier this month. It was a dream come true (albeit a bit sad) for longtime fan Josh Burke when, after Burke had filled in for two weeks, the band announced that he would be the permanent replacement. Check out the new shredder at The Complex tonight.
