A bevy of activities are out there for your enjoyment, so check out our picks for the weekend and get to it!---

FRIDAY

A cool dance event for a great cause comes Friday courtesy of Break The Silence, a joint effort of some of the city's dance troupes to raise money for a new security system at a local women's shelter. It's just $15 to support the cause, and the fun starts at 7 p.m. at the Rose Wagner.

If you're down Provo way, join The Numbs as they celebrate their killer new CD, Soul Burn, with a release party at ABG's.  And comedy fans will want to make their way to West Valley City for The Sklar Brothers, popular twin comics, actors and sports junkies.

SATURDAY

Saturday is the third Craft Lake City at Gallivan Center, so get on down if you're the crafty type, or just looking for some cool folks and tunes on a Saturday afternoon.

You railroad junkies, and I know you're out there, will want to note the 35th Annual Railroader's Festival at the Golden Spike Historic Site. Join your fellow train wrecks and have a good time out in the desert.

The John Butler Trio brings an epic acoustic sound to Kingsbury Hall in what is sure to be a fine show. Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band does a free show at Snowbird at 6 p.m. And the Utah Symphony finishes off its Deer Valley Musical Festival with The Music of Queen.

SUNDAY

Head to Bar-X and join the Pin-Up Jane crew doing mini photo shoots at 2 p.m. And Sunday is your second chance to check out the new Urban Flea Market.
