Here are some humpday happenings to treat you right, from headbanging to folk-dancing.---

It's been a lackluster few months when it comes to metal shows in SLC—that tends to happen in the summer—but Down (pictured) brings some solid, riffy noise to town Wednesday for a headlining gig at The Depot.

The Grand Theatre at SLCC continues its regular season-opening run of Always...Patsy Cline. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Down at the Sandy Amphitheater, it's an International Folk Festival that will introduce, or perhaps reintroduce, cultures from around the world via dance and music and, hopefully, food, too.

Author Christine Seifert, a Westminster College prof, has a debut novel geared toward teens, with a sci-fi twist, and she'll be reading from The Predicteds at The King's English at 7 p.m.
