The weather is predicted to be pretty frightful, so you might as well make sure whatever you're stuck doing inside is damned entertaining! Here's how.---

FRIDAY

You probably remember David Allen Grier as one of the stars of old sketch-comedy show In Living Color, but he's oh-so-much more than that! He's acted in a slew of films, had his own Comedy Central specials and series and he's a working, touring comic who is stopping in Utah this weekend for four shows at Wiseguys Comedy Cafe in West Valley City.

Little Scream, one of the best new musical voices to arrive in 2011, in my book, is headlining a show at Kilby Court Friday -- a gig sure to go heavy on tunes from her excellent debut, The Golden Record. The show starts at 7 p.m., and Bobby opens. And if you're feeling frisky, join some of SLC's fine local bands like The Suicycles and the Sam Smith Band, Lady Murasaki and Tommy & the High Pilots for an Underwear Party at Bar Deluxe, starting at 9-ish.

Repertory Dance Theatre's Snapshots! program runs through the weekend at the Rose Wagner, so if dance is your bag, you'll have a hard time topping this set of pieces.

SATURDAY

Ken Sanders Rare Books is hosting a book-signing of a particularly timely tome called A History of Radicalism in Utah, penned by John McCormkick and John Sillito. It starts at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.

The Salt Lake City Main Library is hosting a seminar on how to create your own 'zine, starting at 2 p.m. Saturday.

If you want to get your turkey on a little early, you can head down to Thanksgiving Point and join in on its Authentic Pilgrim Feast at 6:30 p.m Saturday.

And another winner for dance fans comes via the U of U's Modern Dance Graduate Concert. And film lovers will want to wander up to the Post Theater at Fort Douglas to check out the Who Likes Short Shorts Film Festival at 7 p.m.

SUNDAY

Naturally, you'll want to hit Brewvies Sunday night to check out The Walking Dead on the big screen alongside City Weekly's True TV and Big Shiny Robot. It starts at 7 p.m., but you'll want to get there early for a good seat.

Or, if you're more inclined to hear some tunes that night, read our interview with Cory Branan (pictured), then hit the show at Kilby Court at 7 p.m.
