Salt Lake City music received a showering of love on Valentine’s Day from Internet radio station BreakThru Radio’s “Spotlight on the City.”---

The show is hosted by DJ Lottie, and each month she takes listeners on an audio journey to some region of the world. Since July 2007, the show has shined a light on music hotbeds like Lincoln, Neb., Chicago, Seattle, and more.

BreakThru Radio’s mission is to support and play indie acts. So, for the Feb. 14 edition of “Spotlight on the City,” DJ Lottie picked myriad unsigned, local musicians, including 2012 CWMA Band of the Year Max Pain & the Groovies (pictured above), Michael Gross & the Statuettes, The Devil Whale, Daisy & the Moonshines, YYBS, Muscle Hawk and It Foot, It Ears, among others.
