TV Weekend: Magic City, Game of Thrones, The Killing

Magic City (Starz, tonight) Series Debut: Following the sure-to-be-bloody-and-naked season finale of Spartacus: Vengeance, it’s a dumbed-down Boardwalk Empire, with more convertibles and bikinis, set in 1959 Miami—or, Magic City, if you will. ---What makes it a Starz series? Plenty of sex, nudity and violence. How is it unlike most Starz series? Magic City looks pricey—not HBO pricey, more like CSI: Miami pricey. Did I mention sex, nudity and violence?

The Killing (AMC, Sunday) Season 2 Premiere: So this is back … has there ever been a returning series with more negative buzz then The Killing? Nope, not even Two & a Half Men. Good luck winning everybody back, AMC.
