Titanic isn't the only classic epic rolling into local theaters this weekend. You also get Charlton Heston in a chariot. ---

Megaplex Theatres locations at Jordan Commons and The District are showing full runs of Ben-Hur beginning today, just in time for your Easter celebrations. Director William Wyler's1959 film -- about the Jewish merchant Judah Ben-Hur (Heston) who is condemned to slavery in the time of Jesus -- is best known for its celebrated chariot race, in which Ben-Hur competes against violent opponents. But it's also a story that prominently features Biblical scenes including the Sermon on the Mount and Jesus' crucifixion. So you can go with brunch for your holiday family time, or a three-hour swords-and-sandals period piece.
