Dear GYA, I got three words for you: treat yo self. Once a year, Donna and I spend a day treating ourselves. What do we treat ourselves to? Clothes -- treat yo self. Fragrances -- treat yo self. Massages -- treat yo self. Mimosas -- treat yo self. Fine leather goods -- treat yo self. It's the best day of the year!--- Any suggestions for new ways to treat ourselves? - Tom Haverford

Tom, I try to treat myself everyday with a little bag of Doritos Cool Ranch, and sometimes when I feel like going huge, I treat myself by putting hot sauce in my ramen. Here are some ways you could treat yourself this Memorial Day:

Fresh from a killer performance at this year's Coachella, Santigold will be performing at In The Venue/Club Sound tonight at 7 p.m. If you've seen Santigold live or if you're on the fence, do it. From start to finish, her shows are filled with high-energy, dance-floor bangers -- arguably one of the best shows SLC will see this summer.

Speaking of great live shows, indie rockers The Shins will be playing at Red Butte Gardens. The Albuquerque natives were nominated for a Best Alternative Music Album Grammy in 2008 for Wincing The Night Away. If you don't already have tickets for this, good luck getting a glimpse of the band over the newly constructed wall up on the hill. The show starts at 7 p.m.

There is nothing like spending a Memorial Day watching an American pastime -- good thing the Salt Lake Bees will be taking on the Las Vegas 51s. Tonight is Smith's Family Night, which means you get a ticket and a hot dog for only $5 -- that's a home run! (Sorry.) The game starts at 6:35 p.m.

Other worthwhile events today:

-Bumpin' Uglies and Grilled Lincolns will be playing at Burt's Tiki Lounge, starting at 9 p.m.

-Soultree Electronica at The Woodshed, beginning at 9 p.m.

-The FIM World Superbike BigM Weekend is happening today at the Miller Motorsports Park.
