What happens when you gut an old school bus, install a aquaponic system and start growing veggies? Well, you get a mobile edu-garden called The Green Urban Lunch Box.--- A few years back, founder Shawn Peterson converted the bus into a traveling classroom of sorts in order to educate people on the benefits of growing their own food. Every year, the bus visits schools, farmers markets and festivals, giving away seeds and inspiration to those interested in starting their own urban gardens. "People get to come on the bus and taste things and they leave excited about growing their own food," said Peterson. "It gives people a firsthand connection with food and where it comes from."

So far the project has been successful. However, The Green Urban Lunch Box is in dire need of some basic upgrades. So, like any entrepreneurial go-getter, Peterson has turned to the Internet for help. Head over to the Kickstarter page to learn more about this unique project and how to donate a couple of bucks to help Peterson reach his goal of $5,000 by June 19.
