We're pretty stoked that 10 more artists signed up this year for the "Out of the Box" project.--- City Weekly launched the project last year (in fact, Erik Daenitz, pictured on the right, is one of 2011's participants). It involves taking 10 of our functioning newsstands (basic regulation-black boxes) and asking visual artists from within the community to transform them into artistic perfection in time for the Utah Arts Festival.

Those 10 boxes are still out on the streets, making the world a better place.

Here's a quick peek at this year's boxes that will be on display at the Utah Arts Festival this weekend. Look for them at the City Weekly booth, located on the grassy knoll east of the Park Stage (which is the south stage on Library Square).

Following the arts fest, we're told these boxes will find a permanent home on Main Street (thanks, Mistah Mayor).
