Get out of Town! Travel Deals July 30

One of the benefits of living in an airline-hub city is that you can get really great deals. In the case of Salt Lake City, Delta has just announced a bunch of low domestic fares, particularly to other Western cities that surround us, but you have to book by Aug. 9. The prices are each way, based on round-trip.---

You can get to Las Vegas or Denver for just $89. For less than the price of a nice dinner for two, you can find yourself in a totally different city for a weekend.

You can get to the So. Cal. trifecta of LAX, Orange County or San Diego for just $119. Given the recent rise in gas prices, you can get two states away in two hours for less than the price of two tanksful of gas.

Chicago, Oklahoma City, San Antonio and New Orleans are all $169 or less. Jazz fans, take note: You have to travel by Nov. 14 on these deals, and the Jazz open the 2012-13 season with a road-heavy schedule that includes playing in New Orleans on Friday, Nov. 2, in San Antonio on Saturday, Nov. 3, and in Denver on Friday, Nov. 9.

Click here to get more on the details. You have to book 14 days in advance, and travel between Aug. 14 and Nov. 14. You’ll also need to plan to stay over on a Saturday night -- but isn’t that the best night to be in another city anyway?
