Dear GYA, Yo, I just heard the news about the new iPhone 5 and I couldn't be happier. I love how it's all light and ish. I mean, shoot, the iPhone 4 was weighing me down in the club, son. I can't be expected to get my swag on with a heavy-ass 4-ounce anvil in my pocket. Now that I can finally swerve unrestricted, anything good tonight?  - Chauncey Swift, West Valley---

Chauncey, I know, right? I refuse to carry anything unless it's under 4 oz. Here's what's up today:

The funky maestro Andy Frasco will be onstage at Hog Wallow Pub this evening. The fro-rocking musician recently opened for Joe Walsh at the Gallivan Center and has since had a relentless touring year. The show starts at 9:30 p.m.

Clark Planetarium will be hosting Night School: Why Mars Matters. University of Utah geologist Majorie Chan will be on hand, explaining the similarities of Southern Utah geology and the surface of the red planet. The lecture starts at 7 p.m.

Local author Cevan LeSieur will be on hand at The King's English Bookshop. LeSieur will be discussing and signing his new book, The Avenues, which looks at Salt Lake City's oldest and most historic neighborhoods -- the Avenues district. The signing starts at 7 p.m.

Other worthwhile events happening today:

- The Stuff This Bus school-supply fundraiser will be going down at The Gateway today at 11 a.m.

- The Utah Botanical Center Farmers Market will be starting up at 5 p.m.

- Hale Centre Theatre will be hosting 9 to 5: The Musical tonight. Click the link for more info.
