While enjoying a winter getaway in Park City, Fireside Dining, part of Deer Valley Resort in Park City, is a unique winter-dining experience. ---

The restaurant serves four courses of European Alps-inspired cuisine, all of them cooked over or near a fireplace. The Swiss raclette appetizer (served with an assortment of meats, cheeses, breads and potatoes) is melted right over the flame onto your plate. Soups and salads include Swiss onion soup and arugula with pears and goat cheese, among several others. For your main course, choose from specialties like the leg of lamb roasted over the fire with apple jelly, almond-dusted Utah trout, seared pheasant, or duck confit. Finish off the meal with dessert fondue. The restaurant also has a full bar along with extensive wine and beer lists.

Between the main course and dessert, book a horse-drawn sleigh ride. It’s hard to beat riding in a sleigh on a clear winter night beneath the stars in the mountains when it comes to quintessential winter experiences.

Fireside Dining is open throughout the winter season. Reservations are required. The restaurant is open from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. Free parking is available to diners. Dining reservations as well as reservations for sleigh rides are available by phone at 435-645-6632.
