ZERO DARK THIRTY tops Utah Film Critics awards

The procedural thriller Zero Dark Thirty -- about the mission to track down Osama bin Laden -- took Best Picture of 2012 at the Utah Film Critics Association annual awards. ---

In voting that spread the recognition among multiple films, Zero Dark Thirty, which opens in Utah Jan. 11, was also recognized for Best Actress Jessica Chastain, who tied in that category with Silver Linings Playbook's Jennifer Lawrence. Joaquin Phoenix won Best Actor for his performance in The Master, Dwight Henry took Best Supporting Actor for Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Anne Hathaway was recognized as Best Supporting Actress for Les Miserables

Best Original Screenplay: Rian Johnson, Looper; runner-up, Joss Whedon & Drew Goddard, The Cabin in the Woods

Best Achievement in Cinematography: Roger Deakins, Skyfall; runner-up, Claudio Miranda, Life of Pi

Best Documentary Feature: Indie Game: The Movie; runner-up, The Invisible War
