Dear GYA, It's really hard for me to focus on New Year's Eve right now because I can't stop thinking about how Kanye and Kim Kardashian are having a baby together. Yeah, they're combining genes. Do you think the baby will be prone to fish sticks? Or have an abnormally large ass? This is tearing me apart. Anything happening tonight to take my mind off this? -Jannette Moosely, West Valley City---

Jannette, The only thing you should worry about is whether or not this baby is born as a self-absorbed black hole that will drain the life force from all existence. Other than that, I wouldn't stress too hard. Here are some options for your NYE:

Just about every dive bar, sports bar, watering hole and dance club in SLC is doing something festive tonight, so to make your decision making process a little easier, here's a rundown of all the bar and club happenings,  covers, dress-codes and music for the evening.

For live music, NYE is a smorgasboard of decent options. Instrumental hipster dance band, !!! (Chk Chk Chk) will be headlining EVE downtown at the Gallivan Center. DJ Ravi Drums will be onstage at Park City Live and bluesman Coco Montoya will be kicking things off at The State Room. For all the live-music options, check out City Weekly's Music Editor Austen Diamond's picks right here.

If you're looking to do something low-key, like perhaps a quiet dinner on the town, City Weekly's food critic Ted Scheffler ran down the best fancy eats for NYE and you can check 'em all out right here.

A few other options for tonight:

- At Wiseguy's Trolley Square, stand-up comedian Cash Levy will be on the stage.

- Actor Danny Masterson (from That 70's Show), aka DJ Momjeans, will be performing at The Downstairs in Park City. Doors open at 8.

- The Egyptian Theatre will be hosting The Who Show, starting at 8.
