The Crossroads Project, a combination of climate science and chamber music, comes to Salt Lake City on Sunday, April 28, providing a fresh perspective on environmental issues.---

The project is the brainchild of Utah State University physicist Robert Davies, who approached USU's resident chamber ensemble, The Fry Quartet, to team up with him to add music to a presentation on sustainability and the environment.

The 80-minute performance is built around four movements, with music, including a piece by Joseph Haydn, performed by the quartet while Davies explores sustainability science from the perspectives of food, water, energy and the biosphere.

The Crossroads Project premiered in September 2012 and has since toured internationally.

The Utah Youth Symphony is hosting the free performance on April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Libby Gardner Hall on the University of Utah campus.
