Glad You Asked: Daughter, Virginmarys and The Wild Ones

Dear GYA, I'm a vegetarian, and now that I know I've probably ingested some of Moochies meat-soaked marinara sauce, I now feel that my entire life is a boldfaced lie. Sure, I could have asked if there were meat in the sauce, but, come on, it was tasty. And besides, I shouldn't have to be responsible for my own high-maintenance diet. You know what I mean? By the way, is there anything happening today that doesn't involve delicious, secret meat? - Molly Derpina--- 

Molly, I totally understand why you're upset -- there's nothing worse than that awkward moment when you realize you've been eating meat and bragging to your friends about how delicious it is. Here are some options for today that are guaranteed to be meat-free:

London-based indie band Daughter will be performing at Urban Lounge at 9 p.m. Jeremy Messersmith will open things up. Tickets are $14. This show is 21+ 

The UK rock trio, The Virginmarys, will be onstage at In The Venue. This all-ages show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10. 

Local punk-rock band The Wild Ones, who are described as "Iggy Pop with better tits" by bassist Bill Frost, will be performing at Willies this evening. The show starts 10.
