There are few things I love more than Champagne, especial pink (Rose) Champagne; it's a style of bubbly I just can't get enough of. --- Well, France's Moet & Chandon, established in Epernay way back in 1743, has just released its 70th vintage Champagne, the 2004 vintage. And, while I really like their regular Moet & Chandon Grande Vintage 2004, I love the Rose version.

Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Rose 2004 ($65) is absolutely gorgeous, both to look at and to sip. It's copper-pink in color, a blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay and 24% Pinot Meunier. The bubbly is medium-bodied, nice and round, yet delicate on the palate.

This Rose Champagne is brimming with blackberry, raspberry and strawberry notes, with hints of anise, and a finish that reminds me of dark chocolate.

Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Rose 2004: It's a beautiful thing -- a party on the tongue. Enjoy.
