While Utah regulators disciplined two new doctors in the state, three other doctors had all or partial license privileges reinstated, according to a recent report by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.---
Sandy doctor Shawn Michaee Brooks had his license suspended by the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing for “unprofessional and unlawful conduct.” Doctor Michael Lee Maynor from South Carolina voluntarily surrendered his license to practice medicine and administer controlled substances in Utah after being sanctioned by the Kentucky Board of Licensure in May 2012.
Meanwhile, doctors Nick Greenwood of Salt Lake City and Ludmil Manov of American Fork have climbed their way up through probation and other settlement agreements to have their full license privileges reinstated. Salt Lake City doctor Robert Ian Simpson had his license to prescribe controlled substances reinstated, but remains on probation.
