Wine Wednesday: Fleming's WiNEPAD

The next time you pop into Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar to sample one of its 100 wines by the glass, or to select a bottle for dinner, you'll be aided by new technology. ---
Fleming's (20 S. 400 West, in The Gateway) recently launched the Fleming's WiNEPAD (TM), a custom iPad app that aids customers in getting around the extensive Fleming's wine list. It's got some cool and helpful features, like "Perfect Pairings," which helps take the guesswork out of specific food-and-wine combinations; "Maeve's Raves," which are favorite recommendations from Fleming's National Director of Wine, Maeve Pesquera; and even software to match wine to your mood.
Moods include "Flirty," "Clever" and "Bold." I clicked on Flirty and the WiNEPAD appropriately recommended one of my favorite sparkling wines: Banfi Rosa Regale.
Find a wine you like on the Fleming's wine list, and you can even send yourself an e-mail with the wine description and other information via the WiNEPAD. Pretty cool.
